Begin Your Commission

Start With a Photo

You don't need the perfect photograph. Send what you have, tell me the story, and we'll begin there.

Every portrait begins differently. Sometimes there is one photograph that already feels right. Sometimes the best expression is in one picture, the pose is in another, and the memory that matters most exists only in your mind.

Send me what you have. I'll look at the photographs, learn a little about the person, pet, family, or place you want to preserve, and help determine the strongest direction for the portrait.

There is no obligation simply for asking me to take a look.

The Portrait Creation Process

1 — You Share

Upload your photos and tell me your story.

2 — We Create

I study your photographs and develop a portrait direction or sketch.

3 — You Review

You review the direction and share feedback so it feels right.

4 — We Paint

Once approved, I create your custom portrait.

5 — You Treasure

Your finished portrait is delivered, ready to become part of your family's story.

Tell Me About Your Portrait

Take your time here — there are no wrong answers. Anything marked optional can be skipped if you're not sure yet.

1

Who would you like me to paint?

Choose the option that fits best.

2

Share Your Photos

Upload up to five photographs. They do not need to be professional or perfect. Phone photos, old snapshots, scanned photographs, and several different references are all welcome.

Is one photograph especially important?

Click a photo above to mark it as your main reference. Optional.

3

Tell Me the Story

This may be the most useful part of all. Tell me what makes this person, pet, family, or place special to you.

4

What would you most like me to capture?

A good likeness matters. But so does the person behind the likeness. All optional.

5

How Should We Use Your Photos?

This helps me understand how you imagine the portrait. Don't worry — we can discuss the best approach after I see the photographs.

You can change your mind later — we'll confirm the best approach together during the review stage.

6

Is There Anything You Would Like Me to Change?

Portraits are not limited to what happened to be in the photograph.

7

What are you thinking about?

Nothing here is a commitment — just helps me understand your thinking. Both optional.

8

How Can I Reach You?

9

Is there a date you're hoping to have the portrait by?

If this is for a birthday, wedding, anniversary, holiday, or other occasion, let me know. I'll tell you what's realistic. Optional.

That's enough to begin.

  • You review before painting begins
  • We collaborate every step of the way
  • Your likeness and what matters to you come first

You don't need to have every decision made. Once I receive your photographs and story, I'll review everything personally. If I have questions or see a stronger direction for the portrait, I'll contact you before anything proceeds.

Submitting this form does not obligate you to commission a portrait.

Your photographs and personal information are used only to review your portrait inquiry and communicate with you about your commission. See our Privacy Policy.
